Long Time No See! - 好旧不见！

What turned out to be a simple dinner with a few platoon friends - in fact, a few turns out to be Balan and Jason - had went beyond my control and escalated into a big platoon gathering. I swear that it is completely and purely an accident. I have no idea why I sent out an invitation to everyone in the platoon to go to Chomp Chomp, but thinking back now, I'm pretty glad I did.

It was one of the most successful gathering I have ever organized. Keep that in mind, Zhi Huai. Anyway, more than half the platoon had turned up, although not punctual at all. That would be fifteen out of twenty six. Fourteen kudos to Chris, Balan, Jerald, Jae, Wei Lin, Ivan, Jason, David, Andy, Eugene, Kenny, Leon, Edmund and Jeremy! You guys totally rock! And thank you for turning up, if not the gathering wouldn't have been such a big success!


The initial pathetic group, which is a little scary at first. And the time is nearing eight! It was suppose to be seven!


Thank goodness! Those who gave me the promise came!


Well, we sure didn't waste any time ordering food! Yummy food coming up!


Wait a minute...They are all gone? Already?!?!


Disgusting Edmund. Still eating! But the ice-cream do look delicious...To tell the truth, I also ate the ice-cream...Heh!


Of course, the pool table is another spot light. Introducing the pro - Leon! He do look like a professional, huh?

But why are the rest so interested in that machine? Does it contain treasure?


Oh, it does contains treasure alright. They are doing photo-hunt...Well, I guess we boys will always be boys!


And here we are, all falling in into a picture that honored the gathering of Alpha Platoon One. Two pictures, in fact. May the rest of the gathering be as successful! Yea!

本只是想和几位 - 其实只是BALAN和JASON而已 - 兵营的好朋友共进晚餐，却不知会有意想不到的收获，变成一个大团圆。我肯发誓，那一次绝对是纯粹的意外。我不知道我在干什么，发了简讯给兵营所有的人，邀请他们一起到CHOMP CHOMP。但是现在回想起来，我到还庆幸我有这么做。

那是其中一个我举办最成功的聚会。记清楚了，ZHI HUAI。总而言之，虽然迟到，但是多过一半的人都来了。一共二十六人，有十五个人出席。十四个欢呼给CHRIS，BALAN，JERALD，JAE，WEI LIN，IVAN，JASON，DAVID，ANDY，EUGENE，KENNY，LEON，EDMUND和JEREMY！你们简直是棒极了。谢谢你们的到来，不然的话，这给聚会就不会这么成功了！


本来有小有可悲的人群，让人觉得有点害怕。而且本是约七点的，但都快要八点了！


幸亏那些答应我的都来了！


呵，我们绝对没有浪费任何时间啦！可口的菜肴要上桌了！

恶心的EDMUND。还在 吃！但那雪糕倒是挺好吃的。。。。。。实不相瞒，我也有吃那雪糕。。。。。。 哈！


当然，撞球也是另一个高点。介绍高手 - LEON！看起来很像选手吧？

And you would expect that after working with someone for one year, from building APB to walking around villages mindlessly during Crescendo in some obscure part of Thailand, would at least leave a person with some sort of impression. If he doesn't recognise your handphone number (which I admit I rarely give out to anyone, but that's not the point), you would at least expect him to recognise your voice. I'm somewhat faintly disappointed in our dear Sir Sam. Add an "e" behind his English name and you will realise that he is still the same as before. Equally dense, if not denser. There are times I wonder if his brain is packed of wool or something.

For those (which actually means all) who have no foggiest idea what is going on, I, beloved-but-forgotten and gentle-just-for-the-sake-of-keeping-peace member of Alpha Platoon 1 who goes by the name Boon Tien, sent out a message to all my fond platoon mates. Only to have an ex-officer in charge, which I do not hesitate to add the fact that he is having a hangover and still sounding drunk, calling me asking who I am even after a minute conversation. And he did not even bother to hide that fact.


But anyway, that's not the point. The point is that, although most of our platoon mate have yet to ORD, I would like to say, HAVE FUN DURING CHINESE NEW YEAR! And only what, 9 or 10 more working days before you guys ORD?!?!?!

By the way, adding as a side note, I'll be organising a gathering during June or July to celebrate that month's birthday boys and to reminisce the good old times. Which is virtually none...

Finally all is over,well i would consider the most significant part of our ns period has came to an end on the 28th oct 2006, wow its only like 3 days ago seems like a dream hehe....never expected it to be that fast, felt like hell when it was only the first day.i believe that stories can be told over from here when we grow into si ah peks...hmm not sure of what to say about the whole Ex but glad that everyone made it back alive hehehehehehe =)
